The new addition to the Brian Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Care facility doubles the size of the complex. The addition adds 50 beds to the 60-bed facility that was built in 1989 and adds a 1,600 square-foot therapy gymnasium.
The addition houses the Post Acute Rehabilitation Center (PARC), that offers specialty short-term care for complex needs such as joint replacement, surgery, stroke recovery, fracture, IV therapy, pain management, muscle strengthening, mobility restoration, Ultrasound, E-stim, Diathermy, Vital
Stim and ambulation device training.
The addition housing the PARC has private rooms with flat screen televisions, electric adjustable beds, individual telephone service, a separate entry for easy access, recreation and therapeutic activities and a dining area.
The Brian Center, with the new addition, can now offer assisted living accommodations for those in need of minimal assistance in a home-like setting. There are 15 accommodations in the assisted living section. Service includes 24-hour nurse supervision, medication supervision by licensed nursing staff, housekeeping, three home cooked meals, snacks, activities and all utilities except personal telephone.
