Rick Tabb showed Clifton Forge Town Council the plans that were used to build the original train station in Clifton Forge. The original station was not used very long, according to Tabb, because the C&O YMCA was then built and it was used for the train station. Train passengers now have a room in the Yard Office but Tabb hopes that Amtrak will begin using the new train station being planned near the Heritage Center.
