Resort Sports Network, an ESPN affiliate, was in the Alleghany Highlands and the Roanoke Region July 20-24 filming a mountain bike video guide.
Trails at Carvins Cove and Douthat State Park will be featured as well as an urban twist on Mill Mountain that features riders leaving downtown Roanoke and riding to the top of Mill Mountain.
"We would like to thank Pete Eshelman, director of Outdoor Branding at the Roanoke Regional Partnership for bringing this opportunity to the Alleghany Highlands. We would also like to thank Douthat State Park for hosting the group and allowing them to video their beautiful trails," said Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Teresa Hammond. "This is a great opportunity to share one of our region's great assests with others and encourage them to visit our area."
The finished piece will air next summer but RoanokeOutdoor.com will receive an advance copy for use by the end this year.
