Alleghany Highlands Featured in 2009 Virginia Travel Guide
The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2009 Virginia Travel Guides have arrived. Thanks to the City of Covington, Alleghany County and the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation for partnering with the Chamber to fund an ad for this publication. Several local attractions are also listed in the travel guide including the C&O Heritage Center, the Covington Depot, Falling Springs Falls, Humpback Bridge, the Historic Oakland Church & Cemetary, the Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center, Douthat State Park and Lake Moomaw.

600,000 copies of the Virginia Travel Guide are printed and distributed throughout the state and across the country. Virginia.org offers online marketing opportunities along with many other services. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to submit upcoming events and festivals for display on the virginia.org website; this marketing opportunity is provided free of charge by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
